There is no easy, nor obvious, way to identify good processes from bad ones - you should first let the anti-virus/anti-adware programs try to fix things (they are the experts here). You really should just scan with Malwarebytes and/or AdwCleaner as I mention (links etc) in my other message - all free. What is the least costly (free) and time efficient way to identify which software processes etc. Lots of very specific help there - much appreciated. all relatively easily found by 'Googling' terms like 'snap-do removal' etc.
Malwarebyte adwcleaner manual#
If that doesn't fully fix things then there are further manual instructions elsewhere, for example. 'Snap-do' has a web-site where they also provide some 'FAQs' that include instruction regarding the removal of their software. Wikipedia documents a slightly different view. It does not appear to be either a virus, or malware as such, so it may well not be flagged by anti-virus/spyware programs - although it may well fall into the category of adware/PUP (potentially unwanted program). 'Snap-do' appears to be just a typical browser toolbar/add-on - probably inadvertently downloaded as an 'optional extra' with some other software you installed. All things considered, Adw-Cleaner does a great job and if you ever find yourself in the situation where you need to urgently get rid of ads, toolbars and similar unwanted components, make sure you give this tool a try./.Does anyone know if a program called "Snap-Do" (with or w/o hyphen) is some sort of virus? I've uninstalled 2 entries of this program, but it still showed as my new default Home Page in my Web browser.Another example of usage, perhaps the most common for this particular software app, is browser toolbar removal.

When running in non-release mode (e.g alpha or beta) the channel is displayed on the title bar. Scan options, reports and deletion operations It now keeps track of the previous channel and uses it for the updated version. Plus, it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows registry.
